Video on the sound of wetlands from the CEDEUS project
In this video, Felipe Otondo presents the connection between the Soundlapse project and the Center for Sustainable Urban Development, CEDEUS, a center of research excellence funded by ANID through its National Interest Research Centers program.
From a perspective rooted in southern Chile, Soundlapse contributes to CEDEUS’s objectives by incorporating the sonic dimension of the territory, soundscape studies, and listening as tools for understanding the relationship between communities, natural environments, and urban spaces.
Through field recordings, soundscape analysis, and listening experiences, the project proposes new ways of observing, listening to, and valuing the environments we inhabit, contributing to broader reflections on sustainable urban development.
