Web resource featured in digital book
The Foundation for Communications, Training and Culture of Agriculture (FUCOA), part of Chile’s Ministry of Agriculture, has recently published the digital book “Aves aledañas”, a collection of photographs and poems by agronomist Bruno Razeto. This publication, available on FUCOA’s website, was developed by the foundation’s Design Department, led by designer Claudia Berríos.
During the editorial process, the design team proposed enhancing the visual and poetic experience of the book with sounds of Chilean birds. This led them to discover the platform www.sonidosdeaves.cl, developed within the framework of the Soundlapse project.
Thanks to FUCOA’s interest and the collaborative spirit between both initiatives, it was agreed to include selected bird sounds from the portal in the digital book, through direct links from the images. The publication also acknowledges the source in the final credits and back cover.
This collaboration offers a new example of the potential for integration between scientific outreach platforms and editorial projects focused on education and the appreciation of Chile’s natural heritage.
