Research paper and musical work presented at the ICMC 2026 in Hamburg
The paper “Listening Across Spaces: Perceptual Evaluation of an Ambisonics-Based Sound Installation” was presented by undergraduate thesis student Leonardo Santos and Felipe Otondo at the International Computer Music Conference, held in Hamburg on 6 May 2026. The article, developed as part of the student’s Acoustical Civil Engineering thesis, reports on the design and implementation of listening tests carried out in connection with a sound installation presented in Valdivia. The article published in the conference proceedings can be consulted here. During the event the piece “Makuta” was also showcased as part of the music program.
