Makuta played in Muslab exhibition in Ecuador
This week, my piece Makuta will be presented in Quito as part of the MANTRA touring exhibition of the MUSLAB festival. The 2025 edition features sound, visual, and video art works by artists from 46 countries.
MANTRA – The Art of Healing arrives in Quito from November 24 to 28, 2025
The Teatro Prometeo in Quito will host MANTRA – The Art of Healing, an international exhibition featuring sound art, photography, video art, and visual works created by artists from diverse countries and cultural backgrounds. The exhibition will be open to the public from 9:00 to 18:00 at Av. 6 de Diciembre 21-218.
MANTRA brings together works that explore the healing potential of art and its ability to transform our relationship with the world. The pieces address themes such as health, balance, equality, and peace, positioning art not only as memory or testimony but also as a powerful act of regeneration.
Conceived as both an aesthetic and social platform, MANTRA presents contemporary creation as a collective mantra—an expanded resonance that seeks to heal individual and collective wounds while opening new paths for awareness in the context of today’s global challenges.
