Interview on Culturas Sonoras programe
An interview about recent artistic works and research was conducted by José Iges as part of the project Culturas Sonoras. Sound artist and acoustical engineer Felipe Otondo, based at the Universidad Austral de Chile, is a central figure in the interdisciplinary project Soundlapse, which investigates the soundscapes of wetlands in the Valdivia region. In the interview, he also presents his 2014 work Ruido blando, a piece that uses the sound of the sea on a beach as its sole sonic material.
