Field recordings carried out in Bosque Pehuén for Arts, Science and Conservation project.
As part of a collaboration with Fundación Mar Adentro, field recordings were carried out on October 21 at the Bosque Pehuén property, located in the Andean Araucanía region. Together with the foundation’s conservation team, including Tomás Altamirano and Felipe Guarda, sound recordings were made in various areas of the property, aiming to capture the local bird diversity and water bodies. The recordings were made in stereo and second-order Ambisonics formats, alongside the installation of a Wildlife Acoustics recorder for continuous acoustic monitoring.
As part of the visit, Felipe Otondo also presented the Soundlapse project to the Fundación Mar Adentro team, which includes Maya Errázuriz, Gabriela Pérez, and the foundation’s board president, Madelaine Hurtado.
